SNCS Library Vision :

In communion with Sto. Niño Catholic School, Inc. SNCS library with state of the art innovations on its structures and facilities, resources and services as well as updating of professional competence of its staff commits to provide quality service and commitment to Catholic Education.


SNCS Library Mission:

To realize SNCS library vision, we commit ourselves to support the instructional program of the school through its collection development, organization, retrieval and services of learning resources.

∙ Proper coordination with the administration, faculty, personnel and students;

∙ Participative planning for the integration of the library’s programs and activities as well as adopting unified programs of instruction, orientation, and activities;

∙ Professional growth of the librarians and library personnel through further education/studies; seminars; in-service training programs; conferences, fora, etc.

∙ Acquire materials, which support SNCS academic mission by following an appropriate policy;

∙ Provide learning opportunities by acquiring materials in print and non-print materials based on the financial capacity of the school;

∙ Organize materials in the collection and provide an efficient retrieval system, which will encourage use of materials;

∙ Give instruction in the use of the library through formal and informal methods as needed (e.g. Library Instruction, Orientation, Library Handbook, Library Newsletter, etc.);

∙ Promote an awareness of available library resources through direct assistance to the faculty/student and through communication; and

  • Establish lending and use policies of resources to encourage its maximum use; Keep faculty in touch with latest developments in library learning techniques by participation in professional and academic activities of the school.
